Swing The “Y”
The “Standard Chip”, aka the chip and run.
Now that you have the set-up mastered, it's time to swing the club!
1. Create the “Y.”
If you followed the set up essentials from the previous sections, you’ll now have the “Y” established at address with your arms and club. Remember, set up errors create swing errors!
Make sure your weight stays on your lead foot throughout the entire swing. You start with 55-60% on the lead foot and increase it to 90% at the finish.
2. Move the “Y” back and through. But don’t get too stiff-wristed! You'll also see that there is a little bit of wrist hinge during the backswing.
