20-20 Drill

Putting Accuracy Drill

20-20 focuses on accuracy, requiring precise start line control, which leads to more putts made as you get further from the hole!

Equipment Needed

2 Golf Balls
5 Tees

The Set Up

1. Find a straight, level, or slight uphill putt.

2. Place tees at (A-C) 3-feet, 6-feet, and 9-feet.

3. Place tees at the front of the hole, in line with the left and right edges.

How to Score

1. Start by putting from tee (A).

2. You must make 10 putts in a row from tee (A) without touching either tee.

3. Next, make 6 putts in a row from the 6-feet tee (B).

4. Now, make 4 putts in a row from the 9-feet tee (C).

5. Any time you hit a tee or miss the hole you must restart that level.

6. Once you have completed putts (A-C) complete again in the reverse order (C- A). That’s a total of 20 putts going out and 20 coming back, hence 20/20.

Be sure to use your pre-shot routine on each putt. Remember, β€œPractice like you play, Practice like a champion, Play like a champion!”
