Leap Frog Drill
Putting Speed Drill
Leap Frog is a speed drill that I consider a weekly staple. Youβll notice how your feel, and speed awareness increases as you progress through this drill.
Equipment Needed
5 Golf Balls
Three Tees
The Set Up
1. Find a slight uphill putt (25-30 feet long).
2. Place a tee at the bottom of the slope (A). This is where you will start your putt.
3. Next, walk straight uphill and place a tee in the ground 3-yards from the first tee (B).
4. Place a third tee in the ground 2-yards past the second tee (C).
How to Score
1. You will putt all balls from the starting point (A).
2. Your first ball must go past the tee (B).
3. Your second ball must pass the first ball.
4. Your third ball must pass the second ball, and so on.
5. All balls must finish between the (B) and (C) tees in order from first to fifth ball. If you miss the zone or get your balls out of order, you must start again.
6. If you complete with time remaining, move the starting tee back 1-yard.
Be sure to use your pre-shot routine on each putt. Remember, βPractice like you play, Practice like a champion, Play like a champion!β
