NSEW Drill

Putting Accuracy Drill

This drill requires precise start line control, which leads to more putts made as you get further from the hole!

Equipment Needed

  • 4 Golf Balls

  • 16 Tees

The Set Up

  • Find a hole with a gentle slope.

  • Place a tee 3-feet (one putter length) from the hole, straight uphill (A).

  • Repeat for 4, 5, and 6-feet for uphill, downhill, and both side hill putts.

How to Score

1. Start by putting from tee (A).

2. Next, move counterclockwise (right-handers) to the next 3-feet putt.

3. Continue around the 3-feet tees until you have completed 24 putts.

4. Now, start putting at the 4-feet tee (B).

5. Continue around the 4-feet tees until you have completed 8 putts.

6. Then, complete 8 putts around the 5-feet and 6-feet tees.

7. Keep track of how many putts you make from each level.

Be sure to use your pre-shot routine on each putt. Remember, β€œPractice like you play, Practice like a champion, Play like a champion!”
